Some say that more people now have allergies because we live in a cleaner environment & our immune systems aren’t exposed to much! It doesn’t matter on what season though! Any Suggestions here?

The tendency to develop allergies is often hereditary, which means it can be passed down through your genes. (Thanks a lot, Mom and Dad!) However, just because a parent or sibling has allergies doesn’t mean you will definitely get them, too

Allergies basically occur when your immune system over-reacts to an allergen! Allergens do not effect everyone and are only harmful to those allergic to them! Some people have a genetic predisposition to allergies and in some cases environmental triggers are responsible- here in the UK we have one of the highest allergy rates in the western world!Nuts are common allergens! When you come into contact with an allergen, mast cells in your body release a substance called histamine! Histamine causes the tiny blood vessels in the tissues of your body to leak fluid which causes the tissues to swell! This results in symptoms such as wheezing, runny eyes, runny nose, hives/rash and can cause swelling of the lips, tongue and throat!Just because you are allergic to some nuts, doesnt always mean you will be allergic to them all! Most people who are allergic to nuts, tend to avoid all nuts to be on the safe side! Peanuts are not nuts – they grow underground, other nuts grow on trees! Reactions range from mild to severe- Anaphylaxis is life threatening, you should always carry and Epi-pen around with you!
