Can you buy inhalers over the counter?

Yes, and the advantages of using OTC asthma medications are affordability and accessibility (lack of need for a prescription or health-insurance)! Unfortunately, these medications are less effective at controlling asthma and can be more dangerous! Any Suggestions here?

They are medications that you can buy without a perscription. If you need tylenol or asprin it is bought over the counter, you do not need permission to buy it. Source:http://answers.ask.com/Health/Pharmacy/what_are_over_the_counter_drugs

Sorry to say but you cannot do that! You definitely need a prescription to do that! So many people can misdiagnose theirself! They think that they may have asthma when really they are out of shape! You would need to see a Dr! and if he/she decided that you may have asthma, then they would send you to have a series of tests done! If you are diagnosed with asthma or COPD, then the appropriate medicne would be prescribed to you! Inhalers have a lot of side effects and if you have no need for them, then there is a great chance that you may experience one of these side effects! Hope this bit of info helped!
