Allah Ta’ala states in the Holy Qur’aan:- O You who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones and (divination by) arrows are an abomination of Satan’s handiwork! Avoid (such abominations) that you may prosper! (5:90)—-Satan’s plan is to sow hatred and enmity amongst you with intoxicants and gambling, and to hamper you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer! Will you not give up?? (5:91)—-Aside from the harmful effect which they have on Health, the problem with Alcohols and Intoxicants in general is that they grow hatred and enmity among the people, keeps them from doing their religious duties and in most cases they lead to other greater sins such as Adultery and Incest! Alcohols and drugs are both an abomination! That is the case with those who do drugs or drink for the high effect as you mentionedBut obviously thats not the case with you,the Sharia also states that Necessity knows no law according to (6:119)[!!except under compulsion of necessity] meaning that Whats forbidden is permitted when direly necessary (For example:Pork meat, The act of theft during times of famine) and according to what you stated you direly need those prescribed drugs to ease your physical and mental pain so theres absolutely no problem as long as they dont totally kill your mind and conscience when you take them during the day! Also there has been Fatwas that prohibits all forms of smoking owing to the fact that they cause nothing but harm!Lastly, Keep your faith strong and trust that you will get well soon Inshaallah
