    I’m pretty sure there’s 23 pairs in EACH CELL in a body, but what has confused me is my revision guide says, “The human body has 23 pairs of chromosomes.” Help!

    For human somatic (body) cells. I know the cell cycle begins with 46 chromosomes, so when they duplicate before cell division, are there 92 chromosomes? help!
