What is the difference between someone having sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait?

If you have the sickle cell trait, you can pass the disease on to offspring, but do not have the disease yourself! ! Any Suggestions here?

    having the trait just means you are a carrier,you can not get sick from this! however if you marry another person with the trait then your kids can have sickle cell anemia!
