I live in a 220v 50 hertz country, but my hair straightener is american voltage i.e 110v 60 hertz. I recently found a shavers only plug in my downstairs bathroom that says “shavers only 110v”. will my hair straightener work on this plug or do i still need to convert the hertz?

I need an inexpensive hair straightener. One that will do the least damage to my thick curly hair. I have used a remington wet2straight before which i liked but i was wondering if there was something better? I do not wish to spend the money on something as pricey as a chi.

I want a really good hair straightener that hydrates hair for normal hair that’s kind of thin. Or just any kind for a reasonable price.
