Are coldsores herpes?

The virus that causes cold sores is known as the herpes simplex virus (HSV)! There are two types of HSV, type I and type II! Any Suggestions here?

    I agree that kids are not being given the information they need to make healthful decisions! You could suggest to your guidance counselor that this would be a valuable addition to the curriculum! Or you could do your own study of the subject and prepare a paper or a talk that you could use to share what youve learned! Does your school have a newspaper or newsletter?? if so, you could ask them to print an article on the subject! Good for you for caring about the welfare of your fellow students!

    Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), which lives inside nerve tissue. Despite their name, cold sores have nothing to do with colds.
