How do you know if its a cold sore or not?

Cold sores or fever blisters are caused by the herpes simplex virus! They look like a blister or pimple on the lip! Any Suggestions here?

    Pimples and cold sores are conditions that can be easily confused with one another—they both Pimples should not break open on their own, but if irritated (e.g., picked at, scratched) a my friend has a cold sorehm maybe its a pimple.     IF it is a cold sore, DO NOT LICK YOUR LIPS! Your saliva dries out the skin and causes your lips to crack and bleed, which is far worse than the cold sore itself!
