Wow, Im so sorry to learn that you are not feeling well! I take meds too, and I can tell you a bit about what has worked for me! 1! The Klonopin will help, but it is addictive! Be careful with how you use it!2! Antidepressants and antipsychotics (such as Seroquel) will help, but its a question of finding the right recipe for you! These classes of drugs are NOT addictive!3! The best remedy for anxiety and agoraphobia is psychotherapy! It should be a supportive psychotherapy, not analytical! Your therapist should encourage you to think about why you are frightened of going outside, but that should not be the main component of the therapy!4! You are not a coward or a loser! Anxiety is a very tough malady! Try to think of it the way you would think of any illness, like nausea, a broken leg, or such!5! You dont mention your age or gender! If you are at an age when hormones fluctuate, your doctor should take this into account! My hope is that you will feel better! I hope you see your psychiatrist soon and talk about your malady so that you are given a new, better mix of medications! Also, I encourage you to see a therapist — just make sure its a supportive therapy!I was housebound for two years until the doctor figured out I had PTSD! The therapy was about acknowledging I had the symptoms and about my therapist providing a refuge as well as encouragement! I left my house alone within 5 weeks or so of therapy! I continue to go to maintenance therapy and I take antidepressants and Seroquel as well! These level off my mood! I also have a sluggish thyroid and am in perimenopause, so the therapy includes a thyroid med and hormones!
