Is melanoma deadly?

There are expected to be 62,190 new cases of melanoma diagnosed in the US this year, and about 7,910 deaths from the cancer! Any Suggestions here?

    It has the highest percentage of fatalities among skin cancers! It really just depends on the extend and treatment plan though! My great aunt has had it for over 30 years now and is fine!

    Melanoma is one of the few skin cancers that speads vertically (down into the skin). It easily spreads to other areas of the body. Thus, it should always be treated.
