What are the signs and symptoms of melanoma?

The first melanoma symptoms often are a change in an existing mole, or the development of a new, unusual-looking growth on skin! Any Suggestions here?

    Melanoma can cause a growth on the skin and is usually caused by exposure to sunlight. Another symptom could be a usual change to an existing mole.     From what Ive seen, melanomas usually are very dark colored, almost black, like burned skin! Looking at your mole, it does appear slightly asymmetrical and does seem to have a different color in the center than around the border! It doesnt look like melanoma, but it does look suspicious to me, meaning, it should be removed just to be sure it doesnt cause problems later! However, a dermatologist may decide differently! Make sure you have it examined!
