What are sharp, stabbing chest pain a sign of?

Sharp stabbing chest pain can be a sign of a Heart attack or Pulmonary embolism! Both are EXTREMELY serious and you should visit the emergency room immediately! ! Any Suggestions here?

    Dont panic!!! i actually have this often to and i had the same worries as you do!!! in fact this pain that occurs in the chest was happening to me last night and i decided to look up some information on it!I believe what I have and what you do as well is called: Transitory benign chest wall pain (TBCWP) is chest pain that occurs in the chest wall area, but is unrelated to any heart or lung condition! It is not actually a disease, nor is it dangerous! TBCWP is not life-threatening nor does it create any complications!
