Does lack of sleep cause weight gain?

A study indicates that the short sleepers have an impaired ability to dispose of glucose using insulin, which may cause obesity! Any Suggestions here?

    Yep! My friend had sleep apnea! She was getting enough sleep and the doctors said that her metabolism was slowing down because her body was trying to rest! Her apnea is being treated and she is losing weight! Also sometimes apnea can be caused because you are overweight! A fat neck can interrupt your breathing causing you to wake up several times during the night! It is a crazy cycle! If you are only eating once a day you are slowing your metabolism down! Your body goes into starvation mode and doesnt burn calories! You should eat several small meals during the day to keep your metabolism going strong! Hope this helps!
