Does lack of sleep affect your heart?

Sleep deprivation has an effect on the brain, behavior, & a British study says that people who don’t get enough sleep on a regular basis are twice as likely to die of heart disease! A 17 year analysis of 10,000 government workers showed that those who cut their 7 hour nightly snooze to 5 hours or less, doubled their risk of death caused by heart problems! Researchers also found that people who didn’t get enough sleep had high blood pressure, a risk factor associated w/ strokes & heart attacks! Any Suggestions here?
