The skin contains seven layers of tissue, and each layer has a function to protect the body from invading bacteria. Some layers produce oil to protect the skin, Source:http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4568496_body-prevent-bacteria-entering.html

1! Correct!2! Metabolism is the sum of all of the chemical processes required for an organism to stay alive!I think for this one the answer you chose isnt really far wrong, but metabolism is generally referring to the chemical processes of the body, rather than all processes!3! For this one I would have said the cell division one, apart from the fact it said meiosis which is the process used to create gametes! If youve or the paper has made a typo and its actually mitosis then I personally would go for that one, as the most important factor of cells is that they are present in order to manufacture the proteins that you rightly said are important for the function of most cells!4! Correct5! Correct6! Correct7! Correct8! Organisms require energy for survival!Energy is definitely transferred between organisms! When you eat a meat product or a plant product, the energy stored in them is passed into you! :)9! Differentiation is taking place to create cells with specialized functions! Meiosis is the process that makes the gametes, all other cell multiplication is mitosis, which is cloning! As the embryo develops, the cells begin to specialise to form the different organs, and then the specialised cells are multiplied by mitosis to make more of them!10! Sorry, this one Im not sure of!11! Correct12! Correct13! Correct
